City of Eugene seeks public input on proposed bike lanes along Polk Street
Eugene, OR – The City of Eugene is asking residents to share their feedback as it explores the addition of bike lanes along Polk Street, a major connection between the Whiteaker and Friendly neighborhoods.
City transportation officials said Polk Street is a heavily used biking route, but the lack of dedicated bike lanes can create safety concerns for cyclists and motorists alike.
The proposed changes aim to improve safety and mobility for all users, though they may require adjustments such as the removal of some on-street parking.
Residents are encouraged to participate by reviewing project details, completing a survey, and providing comments through the city’s online engagement platform.
City officials emphasized that community input will play an important role in shaping the final design and determining how the street may be improved.
Feedback and additional information about the project are available through the City of Eugene’s public engagement website.
