Eugene Springfield Fire crews visit Ya-Po-Ah Terrace to discuss safety after Skinners Butte fire
Eugene, OR – Eugene Springfield Fire personnel recently visited residents at Ya-Po-Ah Terrace following an invitation from the community to discuss fire safety and answer questions about the recent fire on Skinners Butte.
Deputy chiefs, an engine crew and a medic crew attended the visit, giving residents an opportunity to speak directly with fire personnel about safety concerns and ask questions related to the recent incident.
The visit followed the fire on Skinners Butte and provided an opportunity for residents and emergency personnel to discuss what happened and ways to stay prepared and safe.
Fire officials said the gathering was a valuable opportunity to connect with the Ya-Po-Ah Terrace community and have conversations about safety following the recent fire.
Eugene Springfield Fire thanked the residents for inviting the crews and said it was always enjoyable to spend time with the community.
