Grandma requested help with her uncontrollable grandchildren only to get their parents arrested after it was discovered they kept the food for themselves by pIacing Iocks on the refrlgerator

Atlanta, GA – According to the police officials, the 61-year-old dad, later identified as Steeve, and the 40-year-old mom, later identified as Marrie, were arrested and later charged with multiple charges, including cruelty to children after they reportedly kept their kids in very bad conditions. The responding officers reportedly discovered that the parents reportedly kept the refrigerator locked, because ‘the children ate all the food’.
The investigation process began after the children’s grandparent called the authorities and told the dispatcher that she needs help with her 10-year-old grandson, who was reportedly riding his bicycle on the highway. The responding officers made contact with 3 young children, who reportedly told them that their grandma lives nearby and just left. The officers then made contact with the elderly woman, who was not identified, and discovered that the children lived in very bad conditions.
The elderly woman reportedly told them that the children lived in a trailer with their parents, but the children’s mother and father were absent all the time, so she took care of the kids and she was getting tired. The woman also said that her grandkids often slept on the floor, because it’s a bit cooler. When the responding officers entered the home, they realized that there’s no air-conditioning unit. The responding officers also stated that the home felt like being inside a car on a very hot day. The home also smelled very bad, they couldn’t even breathe on their nose.
The responding officers then discovered that the parents had locks on the refrigerator ‘because the mother only gets $1,300 in food stamps, and her children ate all the food so they put a lock in hopes to make the food last longer. The responding officers also stated that there was no food outside the refrigerator. During the visit, the officers also discovered that the parents’ bedroom had AC on and had another refrigerator, filled with drinks for the parents.
