The City of Eugene has released the holiday schedules and closures for Thursday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day

Eugene, OR – City officials released the following details:

Administrative Offices

  • All City of Eugene administrative offices will be closed.

Library, Recreation, and Cultural Services

  • Eugene Public Library: All locations and outside return slots will be closed.
  • Community Centers: All locations will be closed.
  • Amazon Pool: Rec Swim from 2-4:30 p.m., Lap Swim from 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Echo Hollow Pool: Rec Swim from 1:45-4:30 p.m., Lap Swim & On Your Own Fitness from 11 a.m.-1:15 p.m.
  • Sheldon Pool: Lap Swim & On Your Own Fitness from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Police, Fire, Medical, and Other Emergency Services

  • Police, fire, medical, and other emergency services will operate as usual. The main police station on Country Club Road will be open.
  • The Downtown Public Safety Station will be closed, but Downtown Officers will be on duty.
  • Fire & EMS Administration offices, including Ambulance Billing, will be closed.

Parking

  • City-managed parking garages, surface lots, and on-street meters will be free, except for the train depot surface lot.
  • On-street parking limits in the Arena District around Matt Knight Arena remain in effect.

Public Works

  • No City street repair projects will be conducted. Essential health and safety services, such as regional wastewater treatment, will continue without interruption.

Airport

  • The Eugene Airport will remain open. Administrative offices will be closed. 

Spay and Neuter Clinic

  • The clinic will be closed.

All City offices and facilities will resume regular hours on Friday, July 5. The next observed holiday by the City of Eugene will be Labor Day on Monday, September 2.
