Eugene, OR – The Eugene Police Department said Lee Betty Boren, who had been reported missing, was found deceased near the 1600 block of Taney Street.

Police said the Lane County Medical Examiner is investigating the cause and manner of her death. Her family has been notified, and the department said there would be no additional public updates out of respect for the family’s privacy.

Boren had last been seen leaving the 1200 block of Jacobs Drive and was believed to have traveled in an unknown direction. Police had previously said she had memory issues and asked the public to help locate her.

The search involved Eugene Police patrol officers, the department’s K9 team and Metro Drone Team, along with Lane County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue.

Authorities did not provide additional details about the circumstances surrounding Boren’s death.

The investigation by the Lane County Medical Examiner remains ongoing.
