Eugene Springfield firefighter participates in fundraiser for childhood cancer research

Eugene, OR – Firefighters with Eugene Springfield Fire took part in a community fundraiser supporting childhood cancer research during a recent event benefiting the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

According to the department, Engine 2 visited the event held at Claim 52 Kitchen, where Firefighter Jusko joined participants in the festivities and helped raise money for children’s cancer research.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding research aimed at finding cures for childhood cancers. Officials said the event provided an opportunity for firefighters to support the cause while connecting with members of the community.
