Eugene Police welcome charter school students for behind-the-scenes visit
Eugene, OR – The Eugene Police Department recently welcomed a group of energetic charter school students for a special tour of its headquarters, offering a hands-on look at the world of public safety.
Led by the department’s Community Engagement Team, the visit gave students the chance to explore the inner workings of the police department, ask questions, and interact with officers.
One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity to sit on a police motorcycle—no helmets required for the photo op.
The department described the visit as a “blast,” noting the students’ curiosity and enthusiasm.
Events like these are part of the department’s ongoing efforts to build trust and connect with younger members of the community through positive, educational experiences.
Eugene Police say they look forward to hosting more tours and outreach events aimed at fostering strong relationships with the public they serve.
