Woman planned a deceptive date only to persuade the target to be tied, then she allowed her accomplice to get out of the trunk and stab him two dozen times; sentenced
Birmingham, AL – According to the court documents, the 27-year-old defendant, Shailyn, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for attempted murder, as per court documents. Her accomplice, Robert, 21, received a life sentence earlier this month after pleading guilty to the same charge.
The incident unfolded in January 2024, when Shailyn lured the victim on a date under false pretenses, picking him up from his apartment. Unbeknownst to the victim, Robert was concealed in the trunk of the car.
Once the victim was inside, Shailyn handcuffed and blindfolded him. Robert then emerged from the trunk, proceeding to strangle the victim with a cord and inflict multiple stab wounds.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, sustained nearly two dozen stab wounds before being abandoned by the roadside. Fortunately, a passerby heard his cries for help and rushed him to the hospital, where doctors successfully saved his life.
