Memphis, TN – The police officials released a statement saying that 28-year-old Zacchary was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including attempted murder and aggravated arson, after reportedly attempting to kill his wife, Teesa, by stabbing and beating her.

After stabbing his wife nearly ten times, the hsuband allegedly punched her in the head before pouring gasoline on her and setting their house on fire. The incident occurred on Monday. Responding officers found the victim with a knife still in her body. She was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries. The unfortunate wife was able to tell investigators that she and her husband had been in an argument that turned violent.

The victim’s sister, Ila, stated that her sister arrived home from work only to be stabbed in the back by her husband. He then proceeded to hit her in the face, leaving her seriously injured. Teesa reportedly suffered around ten stab wounds and more than thirty punches to the face. The husband then poured gasoline all over his wife and lit her on fire while watching her burn.

According to the responding officers, this incident occurred while the couple’s children, aged 5 and 8, were watching and pleading for their father to not kill their mother. The family has launched a fundraiser to raise money for medical expenses. The fundraiser stated that Teesa is now paralyzed from the waist down, all of her ribs are broken, and she has nine total stab wounds. During an interview with investigators, Zacchary reportedly admitted to the crime.
