Mother’s boyfriend, who was babysitting her 1-year-old baby, convinced the child’s mom that her son did not need to go to the hospital for treatment after beating him to death

Las Vegas, NEVADA – Police officials have reported that a 28-year-old suspect identified as Chirstian has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder, child abuse, and other offenses after allegedly causing the death of 1-year-old Kay. According to authorities, the boyfriend of the child’s mother fatally assaulted him.

The investigation began earlier this month following a 911 call reporting the 1-year-old boy as unresponsive. First responders found the child and rushed him to the hospital, where medical staff discovered severe injuries indicating he had been brutally beaten. The boy had extensive bruises, non-accidental brain bleeds, and a forcefully broken leg, as confirmed by doctors.

During interrogation by investigators, the boyfriend stated that he had been babysitting the child and called for help when the boy became unresponsive. He also claimed the child had been sick in the days leading up to the incident. Initially, the boy’s mother, Tatiuana, told investigators that her son fell out of bed. Despite being placed on a ventilator, the child tragically succumbed to his injuries five days later.

According to local news reports, an unnamed witness informed investigators that the mother had fabricated the story about her son falling from the bed to shield herself from suspicion. The witness alleged that the 28-year-old boyfriend was responsible for the child’s death and had discouraged seeking medical help. In a subsequent interview, the mother admitted her boyfriend was frustrated because the child couldn’t walk independently and forcefully caused his legs to break. She also revealed that her boyfriend had forcefully shaken her son on at least one occasion.
