Eugene Springfield Fire hosts first paramedic study hall
Eugene, OR – Eugene Springfield Fire recently hosted its first “study hall” for students enrolled in the Lane Community College paramedic program, offering hands-on learning and mentorship from on-duty crews.
Fire officials said crews provided real-world scenarios, skills guidance, and professional insight to help prepare the next generation of paramedics. The event also gave current staff an opportunity to share experience and reinforce best practices in emergency medical care.
As Oregon’s largest public ambulance transport provider, Eugene Springfield Fire responds to more than 40,000 medical calls each year across over 1,400 square miles. Officials noted that the department’s size and range of service allow its personnel to offer valuable, experience-based training to future providers.
