Eugene Police Department participates in Women in Public Safety event

Eugene, OR – The Eugene Police Department participated in the Women in Public Safety event held at the Portland Police BureauTraining Facility, an event focused on highlighting the role of women in law enforcement and public safety careers.

During the event, officers connected with aspiring law enforcement professionals and community members, sharing insights about careers in policing and the various roles available within the profession.

Officials said the event also served as an opportunity to encourage mentorship and discuss pathways for women interested in entering public safety fields. The department emphasized that diversity within law enforcement helps strengthen both the agency and the community it serves.

The event aimed to inspire the next generation of female leaders in public safety while promoting opportunities for those interested in pursuing careers in law enforcement.
