Eugene Police officer receives life-saving award from Eugene Springfield Fire
Eugene, OR – The Eugene Springfield Fire Department presented Officer Wolgamott of the Eugene Police Department with the ESF Life Saving Award last week for his role in saving a patient who collapsed at the airport.
Deputy Chief Lay and Officer Wolgamott, who were former high school football teammates, made the award presentation a memorable occasion.
According to fire officials, Officer Wolgamott worked closely with airport staff to perform effective CPR until emergency responders arrived to take over.
The award recognizes exceptional efforts by first responders to preserve life and highlights the collaboration between local law enforcement and fire personnel in emergency situations.
