Governor Kotek responds to revenue forecast, pledges steadfast leadership amid national uncertainty
Oregon – In response to the latest state revenue forecast, Oregon Governor Tina Kotek reaffirmed her commitment to addressing the state’s most urgent challenges, despite growing economic uncertainty fueled by the Trump Administration.
“While the Trump Administration spreads uncertainty in our economy and our social safety net, I refuse to let Oregon be knocked off of our game,” Governor Kotek stated. “We know the problems we need to solve here at home regardless of the chaos coming out of Washington, D.C.”
Governor Kotek emphasized a collaborative approach, vowing to work closely with the Legislature through the remainder of the session to make difficult budget decisions. She highlighted the need for urgent action on housing, healthcare, education, and cost-of-living pressures.
“Progress requires persistence,” she added. “These crises don’t take an intermission, so neither can we.”
Kotek concluded with a call for strategic, bold leadership and resilience from state leaders, underscoring her intent to prioritize long-term solutions over short-term caution.
