Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife hosts family-friendly 3D archery event at Denman Wildlife Area

Oregon – The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife will be hosting a 3D archery event at the Denman Wildlife Area’s Military Slough tract on May 17-18, 2025.
This family-friendly event, which is designed to provide both beginner and experienced archers with an exciting outdoor experience, will feature 40 3D animal targets placed along a two-mile course. Participants will shoot on maintained trails and gravel roads, with distances ranging from 10 to 60 yards, focusing primarily on targets between 10 and 20 yards.
The event is open to all ages, with the registration fee set at $10 (cash only, payable at the event), while youth 17 and younger can participate for free. Archers are allowed up to two shots per target, and both compound and recurve bows are welcome.
Staggered start times for the event will begin at 8 a.m., with the last archer set to go out at 1 p.m. For more information, or to pre-register, interested participants are encouraged to visit the event’s official page.
ODFW is grateful for the support of Southern Oregon Archery LLC, Dewclaw, and Skookum Ridge Bowhunting Supply, whose contributions have helped make this event possible. Whether you’re a seasoned archer or new to the sport, this event promises a fun and challenging experience for the whole family.
