Eugene seeks community input on affordable housing and community development funding

Eugene, OR – The City of Eugene is requesting community feedback on proposed activities funded through federal programs supporting affordable housing and community development.

The city receives funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the HOME Investment Partnership Program and the Community Development Block Grant.

A flyer outlining the proposed activities, available in both English and Spanish, is open for public review.

The funding period for these programs will run from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. Community members can provide input through multiple channels, including written and spoken testimony.

Feedback can be submitted in the following ways:

– Online Comments: Submit input through the HUD Plans and Reports webpage by March 29, 2025.
– Written Testimony: Send a written statement to the City of Eugene, c/o CDBG Programs Manager, Community Development Division, 99 W. 10th Ave., Eugene, OR 97401, by March 29, 2025.
– Spoken Testimony: Participate in the virtual HOME Public Hearing on March 11, 2025, at 3:30 p.m.
– Spoken Testimony: Attend the virtual CDBG Public Hearing on March 21, 2025, at noon.

The city encourages residents to share their perspectives on how these funds should be allocated to address housing needs and community development priorities.
