Eugene, OR – Eugene Springfield Fire (ESF) crews worked overnight and into the morning as part of a countywide mutual aid response to a mill fire at 29229 Milliron Road.
ESF sent Battalion 2, Brush 8, Ladder 6 and Engine 7 to assist the Junction City Fire Department (JCFD) with efforts to contain the fire.
Multiple agencies from Lane and Linn counties responded to the incident, working together to control the blaze.
According to ESF, the scene is expected to remain active for several days as firefighters continue mop-up operations. These efforts involve addressing remaining hot spots and checking for lingering fire hazards to prevent the fire from reigniting.
The department did not provide additional details about the cause of the fire, the extent of the damage or whether anyone was injured.
