Michigan – In a tragic case that continues to unfold, a Michigan woman was arrested in Georgia in connection with the death of her 9-year-old child. The woman, B. Pierse, 41, has been charged with multiple offenses, including first-degree murder, felony murder, first-degree child abuse, tampering with evidence, and concealing the death of an individual. These charges stem from the death of her son in October of the previous year. Authorities stated that the woman allegedly killed her child before fleeing the state and heading to Georgia, where she was eventually apprehended.

The investigation began after a witness made a disturbing 911 call in late November. The caller reported finding a shallow grave in their backyard, and when officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a foot protruding from the ground. As the investigation progressed, it was revealed that the body belonged to the child, who had been killed by his mother in October. Authorities say the woman allegedly smothered or strangled her child to death.

Ten days after the murder, B. Pierse left Michigan and relocated to Georgia. There, she was arrested after authorities discovered that she had left one of her other children unattended in a car on a day when temperatures were below 40°F. A passerby had noticed the child alone in the vehicle and contacted the police. Officers found the child inside the car, which was reported to be in poor condition, and discovered human feces in the vehicle. While the child was cold, they were not injured and were later placed in foster care.

Further investigation revealed that the woman had been living out of her car in Georgia and supporting herself by donating plasma. Authorities have not yet disclosed the motive for the murder of the child, and the investigation is ongoing. The woman is currently in custody in Georgia and is awaiting extradition to Michigan. The case remains under active investigation as officials continue to piece together the circumstances surrounding the child’s tragic death.
