Eugene Police Department investigates pedestrian-vehicle crash at W. 11th and Commerce

Eugene, OR – On January 2, 2025, at 8:00 p.m., a Eugene Police officer arrived at the scene of a pedestrian-vehicle crash at the intersection of W. 11th Avenue and Commerce Street, near the Target crosswalk.
The officer immediately requested emergency assistance from Eugene Springfield Fire.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The male pedestrian, who sustained life-threatening injuries, was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The Eugene Police Department’s Major Collision Investigation team is handling the case.
Eastbound lanes of W. 11th Avenue between Beltline Highway and Commerce Street were closed for several hours during the investigation.
