EPD offers unique opportunity for City of Eugene residents to learn about law enforcement through its Citizen’s Police Academy

Eugene, OR – According to the police officials, this program provides participants with an inside look at the department’s operations and daily responsibilities.
Participants will explore various aspects of law enforcement, including:
– Crime scene investigation
– K-9 unit operations
– Patrol procedures
The free classes will take place every Wednesday and select Saturdays from **March 5, 2025, to May 7, 2025**, running from **6 p.m. to 9 p.m.**
Applications for the program will open on **November 25, 2024**, and are available exclusively to City of Eugene residents.
This initiative aims to strengthen community ties and provide valuable insights into the role of law enforcement.
Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars and take advantage of this opportunity to engage with local officers and learn more about public safety.
