DAS has streamlined the process for requesting and receiving public records by implementing modernized software

Eugene, OR – According to the state officials, effective from Monday, the Oregon Department of Administrative Services has reportedly launched the Granicus GovQA software to enhance the efficiency of managing public records requests.
This software update facilitates the retrieval of various records, including procurement documents, public employee data, and risk management records.
With a growing volume and complexity of requests, DAS opted for GovQA’s cloud-based solution, known for its secure and highly customizable platform. This move aims to improve transparency, streamline tracking, and elevate customer service standards.
The new system provides a centralized and secure public records portal where requesters can monitor the status of their requests online. An intuitive intake form helps refine requests upfront, minimizing the need for follow-up clarifications and ensuring greater accuracy. Additionally, standardized workflows within the system enhance operational efficiency for agency employees.
Granicus GovQA is recognized as a leading provider of internet-hosted services for government compliance with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. It manages numerous FOIA requests for state and local governments nationwide, including other Oregon government agencies.
