The Eugene Police Major Collision Investigation team is investigating after head-on crash leaves 1 dead, 1 injured

Eugene, OR – According to the statement, the Eugene Police Major Collision Investigation team investigated a crash that occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. on July 9, at W. 13th Avenue and S. Bertelsen Road.
According to reports, a Nissan Versa crashed head-on into a Honda Pilot.
The driver of the Nissan was transported to a local hospital but subsequently died from their injuries.
The driver of the Honda was also transported to a hospital as a precaution.
Authorities indicated that there was no sign of impairment from either driver.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
