Crews responded to fire on Cheshire Ave which was spreading across approximately half an acre

Eugene, OR – According to the officials, fire crews reportedly responded to a fire at the top of Skiner Bute early Tuesday morning.
Firefighters were alerted to the blaze at 12:15 AM on July 2nd, with witness statements suggesting that fireworks may have been the cause.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the fire spreading across approximately half an acre.
They worked swiftly to contain the blaze, and after two hours, all hot spots were fully extinguished.
Thankfully, there were no injuries reported.
Eugene Springfield Fire’s prompt and effective response prevented the fire from causing more extensive damage.
