Man arrested in Eugene for first-degree invasion of personal privacy
Eugene, OR – The Eugene Police Department arrested a 32-year-old man in Coos Bay on October 27 on charges of first-degree invasion of personal privacy.
The case began on July 9 when a father reported that the suspect, identified as Jordan Skylar Jones, had recorded his teenage son in a mall bathroom.
The father confronted Jones, obtained his identification and phone number, and an EPD patrol officer conducted a preliminary investigation.
Evidence suggested Jones had entered multiple restrooms, seemingly following groups of young men or boys.
The case was referred to the Eugene Police Violent Crimes Unit, whose detective tracked Jones to Coos Bay and arrested him in the Bi-Mart parking lot at 6:30 p.m. Jones was transported to Lane County Jail and lodged on the invasion of personal privacy charge.
EPD detectives are seeking additional information from anyone who may have experienced or witnessed similar unreported incidents involving Jones. Tips can be provided to Detective Jed McGuire at 541.682.6308 or [email protected].
