Eugene Police Department urges drivers to plan ahead and avoid impaired driving
Eugene, OR – The Eugene Police Department is reminding the public about the dangers of driving under the influence, emphasizing that alcohol and drugs can slow reaction times, impair judgment, and lead to life-altering consequences.
In a recent message, the department urged residents to make responsible choices by planning ahead if they intend to drink or use drugs.
Recommended options include arranging a sober ride, calling a friend or rideshare, or staying overnight if necessary.
According to the department, each time an impaired driver takes the wheel, they put their own life and the lives of others at risk.
The department encouraged the community to work together to keep Eugene’s roads safe for everyone.
