Eugene and Springfield prepare for summer burn ban starting June 7
Eugene, OR – Eugene Springfield Fire has announced that the summer burn ban will take effect at 12:01 a.m. on June 7.
Residents are reminded that all backyard and agricultural burns on eligible lots must be completed by June 6 in compliance with LRAPA regulations and city codes.
With summer approaching, the fire department encourages property owners to ensure their properties are well-prepared for the season.
Those interested in a defensible space assessment can contact the Fire Marshal’s Office at (541) 682-5411 to schedule an evaluation.
The burn ban aims to reduce fire risks during the hotter months and promote community safety.
