Boy brought a gun to a home where he played and posed with it alongside his girlfriend and friend, only for his girlfriend to point the gun at him and pull the trigger, killing him

Jacksonville, FL – According to the police officials, the 16-year-old girl, who was not identified due to her age, was taken into custody and later charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child after she reportedly shot and killed her boyfriend, 16-year-old Davld. Prosecutors claim the defendant shot the boy after both, including their friend, were playing with a gun.
The fatal incident occurred last month after the 16-year-old victim reportedly brought the gun with him to his girlfriend’s home. Unfortunately, that ended in tragedy after his girlfriend shot him to death. During the investigation process, authorities reportedly discovered that the victim, his girlfriend and their friend were pointing the gun at each other and even posed with the weapon.
According to the police officials, the 16-year-old girl then pointed the weapon at her boyfriend and pulled the trigger. She was taken into custody last week and was charged as a juvenile.
The victim’s family launched a fundraiser to collect money for funeral costs, which stated: “Our baby brother was taken from us on July 30, 2024 due to gun violence. He was only 16 and had so much more life ahead of him. He was always so full of joy. He brought laughter, happiness and light into every room he entered. He had so much love to go around. This tragedy has left a huge void not only in our lives, but everyone who had the privilege to experience him. This fundraiser is to help with funeral expenses and legal fees as there is still an ongoing investigation into his murder.“
