Eugene Police report downtown congestion cleared after large march

Eugene, OR – The Eugene Police Department confirmed that traffic has returned to normal following a large downtown march.

Crowd size was estimated between 3,500 and 4,000 participants.

Earlier, police had advised motorists to avoid Ferry Street, East Broadway, and surrounding areas due to extreme congestion.

The march, which likely traveled from the federal courthouse to City Hall, prompted heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

Authorities reminded drivers to exercise caution around large gatherings and to watch for pedestrians in busy areas.
