Eugene firefighters respond to structure fire in University District
Eugene, OR – Just before 2:30 AM, Eugene Springfield Fire crews were dispatched to a structure fire near 17th Avenue and Moss Street in the University District.
Engine 13 arrived three minutes after the dispatch to find an abandoned home fully involved in flames.
Firefighters conducted an interior attack and searched for potential victims.
Once the fire was under control, extensive overhaul was required due to the condition of the home.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined, though evidence of squatters and previous fires was found at the location.
