Structure fire on 40th Street in Springfield sends one to the hospital with serious smoke inhalation injuries
Eugene, OR – On the morning of March 6, at 8:45 a.m., Eugene Springfield Fire responded to a reported house fire in the 500 block of 40th Street in Springfield.
Engine 14 arrived to find heavy fire on one side of a duplex and an injured occupant.
The individual was transported with serious smoke inhalation injuries.
Sadly, two dogs were found deceased during the search.
No other injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
