Son used his dad’s money to buy the appliance where he kept the man’s body after shooting him to death, then claimed ‘his father asked him to do it in a suicide request’; sentenced

Jacksonville, FL – According to the court documents, the 32-year-old defendant, Jakke, was sentenced to three decades behind bars after he shot his parent to death last year and then hid his body in refrigerator. Prosecutors claim the large freezzer was concealed from view and hidden under a large amount of supplies. After killing his dad and hiding his body, the defendant used the victim’s credlt card and spent more than 20 thousand dollars. According to the court documents, the defendant was found guilty after pleading no contest to second-degree murder, tampering with evidence and other charges.
The investigation process began in August last year after the victim’s, 60-year-old Briian, father called the authorities and told them that he hadn’t seen his son in two months. The responding deputies arrived at the victim’s residence and discovered that the victim’s son was driving his vehicle. When asked about his dad, the defendant reportedly replied that his father went on a hunting trip in Utah and he just talked with him on the phone.
The defendant even allowed deputies to look inside the house. The responding deputies stated that the defendant was very nervous. During a follow-up interview with investigators, the defendant reportedly said that the last time he saw his parent was when he drove him to the local airport. Investigators first arrested the defendant for warrants in Arizona, then executed a search warrant and reportedly found the victim’s phone and credit card in his son’s bedroom. The responding officers also found bIood.
The next month, authorities executed a second search warrant and reportedly found large refrlgerator, which was ‘concealed from view and hidden under a large amount of supplies. In the refrlgerator, the responding officers found the victim’s body. The medical examiner told investigators that the victim was shot to death. During the investigation process, authorities also discovered that the defendant regularly used his dad’s money, spending more than 20 thousand dollars after he killed the much older man. After his dad’s body was found, the defendant reportedly admitted to killing the man, claiming that ‘his dad asked him to do it in a suicide request’.
