Eugene, OR – A 25-year-old woman was arrested after Eugene Police said she flooded her apartment, broke a neighbor’s window, and caused additional damage at an apartment complex on July 24.

According to the Eugene Police Department, officers responded around 8:28 a.m. to an apartment in the 2300 block of Patterson Street after receiving a report that Faith Miranda Rhoads had flooded her apartment.

Police said apartment management requested that Rhoads turn off the water, which she did. However, authorities said she later broke the front window of a neighboring apartment.

Officers attempted to contact Rhoads, but police said she refused to come out of her apartment and instead yelled from a second-story window.

Eugene Police patrol officers remained in the area while waiting for Rhoads to exit the apartment, but she did not come out.

Later, police received additional reports that Rhoads was walking around the apartment complex and striking doors with a pole. Eugene Police units responded and took her into custody.

Rhoads was transported to the Lane County Jail, where she was booked on charges including first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree criminal mischief, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, and harassment.

The Eugene Police Department did not release additional details about what led to the initial incident or the extent of the damage caused at the apartment complex.
