City officials shared safety reminders and helpful points that will help ensure community safety
Eugene, OR – According to the city officials, if anyone sees a tree or tree limb presenting a hazard on a road or in a median, they should call 541-682-4800.
Please include details on how big the hazard is, where it is and how many lanes of traffic it is blocking.
Trees that are not causing a hazard but still are in public areas can be reported online using this form.
Relatedly, all City parks remain closed until further notice for safety reasons. Because of the large number of trees in Eugene parks, it is likely limbs could come down.
Additionally, people who traditionally use bike paths to travel around the city are prohibited from entering park properties. The paths are not being maintained and are too icy to use safely.
The Snow/Ice Emergency protocol is still in place. This means all vehicles may not be parked on designated snow emergency routes so crews can sand and clear roads.
