2 more COVID-19 Deaths In Lane County This Week As Case Count Hits 3,057

Two more people have died and another 116 have tested positive for COVID-19 in Lane County since Tuesday, according to Lane County Public Health.

This brings the county’s pandemic death toll to 34.

There have been 3,057 known positives to date.

 

Of those, 253 people remained infectious as of Thursday.

There are 17 Lane County residents with the virus in the hospital, including 5 in ICU.

To date, 88,773 tests conducted for COVID-19 on county residents have come back negative.

The two deaths reported this week are:

A Eugene/Springfield man, 87, who died November 9 from complications due to COVID-19. This individual was not hospitalized prior to his death, the county said.

A 62-year-old man from the Eugene/Springfield died November 11 due to complications from COVID-19. He was hospitalized at the time of his death.

“From everyone at Lane County Public Health, we send our most sincere condolences to the friends and families of these two community members during this difficult time,” the county said.
