Ohio – An Ohio parent demands justice after her chiId, 5, was aIIegedly Iured away and brutaIIy assauIted last month, leaving the little girI with severe injuries and partial scaIp trauma. The Ohio mom, A. Kenibrew, described seeing her child in the back of an ambulance and immediately recognizing she was in terrible shape. “My daughter was unrecognizabIe,” she told local reporters.
According to witness statements cited by police, three juveniIes under age the age of ten allegedly Ied the girI into a ruraI area where they assauIted her. The local police department is leading the investigation. Officials say they are treating it with high sensitivity given that both the victim and the alleged suspects are children.
The child’s parent told emergency and law enforcement personnel that she had dropped her 5-year-old at a reIative’s house earlier that day, and was later informed the child had left and could not be found. As she arrived at the scene, she saw her daughter being treated by EMS. She described the child as unconscious, bruised, with bIood over her body, and with parts of her scaIp missing. She also noted debris and dirt under her daughter’s nails. The mother said the child was being treated at the location before being transported for further medical care.
She recounted to reporters that she asked two of the children she encountered whether they had seen a little girl. Initially they denied knowing anything; later, she says, they changed their story and led a family member to the field where her daughter was found. The mother has expressed deep anguish and frustration on her social media that justice has not yet been served. She says she has reached out to local legal and civic authorities, and she is demanding accountability.
According to the child’s mom, her 5-year-old was allegedly found and approached by several children described as “bigger kids” after walking out of a family member’s house. The mother said the boys acted friendly and took the child by the hand, leading her to a nearby field far from the residence.
In that field, the mother said the boys beat her daughter until she was unconscious, ripped out her hair, and held her down while r-ping her. She also alleged that they shoved sticks down the child’s throat, stripped her n-ked, and strangled her with her own shirt. After the assault, the boys reportedly left the unconscious girl in the field and continued playing in the neighborhood as if nothing had happened.
When a family member realized the child was missing, she went outside to look for her and encountered the boys, who denied seeing the girl. The parent said the boys later returned with one of their parents and revealed where the child was. Emergency services were called, and when the mother arrived at the scene, she said she found her daughter being treated by EMS several blocks away.
From the law enforcement angle, police have confirmed only limited facts publicly. Their statement notes that because the case involves very young children, releasing more details now could jeopardize the integrity of the investigation or violate constitutional rights and privacy protections. The Prosecutor’s Office says it is aware of the investigation but has not yet received the completed case file or made any charging decisions.
No arrests or formal charges have been publicly announced. The police have urged anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing that cases involving child victims and juvenile suspects are handled by specialized units to protect all parties’ rights. Meanwhile the mother says her daughter is undergoing therapy to address the physical, emotional, and psychological effects of the attack.
