Omaha, NE – According to the court documents, the defendant, later identified as 17-year-old ChIoe, was found guilty of multiple charges, including second-degree murder in connection with her baby’s death last year. Prosecutors said the girl entered the no conteset plea and will appear on court on October 15, to set a sentencing date. According to the court documents the young mom reportedly gave birth to her baby home only to grab a knife from her parents’ kitchen and kill the child.

The investigation process began in November last year after the girl’s dad called 911 and told the dispatcher that they found lots of bI0od in their daughter’s room. The responding officers discovered the baby’s body covered with clothes and placed in empty plastic bag. The medical examiner told authorities that the child was stabbed with a knife and had a cut wound on the thr0at.

During an interview with investigators, the girl’s parents reportedly said that they found bIood in their daughter’s room before finding the baby in the closet. The parents also said that their daughter went to the store. When the girl returned from the store, she reportedly told her mother that her baby was dead and that she killed the newborn. The defendant’s dad believed that the newborn was stillborn.

The defendant’s parents also told authorities that they saw their daughter grabbing a knife from the kitchen. The girl, then 16, was arrested and charged as an adult. Now, she is facing 20 years to life in prison. She will be sentenced later this years, court records say.
