Eugene Springfield Fire deployed resources to Flat Fire near Sisters, supporting Lane County task forces
Eugene, OR – Eugene Springfield Fire (ESF) deployed two brush engines to the Flat Fire near Sisters as part of two Lane County task forces.
In addition to the engines, ESF sent a line safety officer, assistant task force leader, and public information officer to support operations.
Officials noted that deployment to these fires is an all-hands effort.
Not only did responding members commit their time, but additional firefighters covered shifts back home to maintain local coverage.
The department continues to coordinate with Lane County authorities to support fire suppression and ensure community safety.
