Downtown Guides employee receives life-saving award for quick action

Eugene, OR – According to the city officials, Joel Enriquez, an employee with the Downtown Guides, also known as the Red Caps, was presented with a Life Saving award for his actions on July 28 that helped save a person with a head injury.
According to Eugene Springfield Fire officials, Enriquez came upon the situation, quickly took over CPR, and ensured that emergency help was on the way.
The department praised his swift and compassionate response, noting the impact of his actions in aiding a complete stranger.
