City of Eugene to present traffic safety update during council work session
Eugene, OR – The City of Eugene Government announced that its Vision Zero team will provide a traffic safety update during a City Council work session scheduled for Wednesday, April 15.
Officials said the session will begin at noon and will be accessible to the public through the city’s council meeting platform, with a recording available afterward.
The Vision Zero initiative, led by the City of Eugene Transportation, focuses on reducing transportation-related injuries and fatalities through data-driven strategies.
The approach is based on the principle that traffic deaths are preventable and that the goal should be zero fatalities on city streets.
City officials said additional information and a comprehensive report on Vision Zero efforts is expected to be released later in April.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed through the city’s communication channels, including the InMotion e-newsletter.
