Eugene Springfield Fire highlights recruit training at specialized facility
Eugene, OR – The Eugene Springfield Fire shared a look at its recruit academy as trainees continue hands-on exercises at the department’s training facility.
Officials highlighted the wide range of features available to recruits, including a six-story drill tower with a basement, a three-story burn building, and multiple residential-style training structures.
The facility also includes a subterranean vault system, rail cars, a fuel tank farm, and a designated extrication area.
The department said the comprehensive training environment allows recruits to gain experience in realistic scenarios, helping them build the skills needed to respond effectively to a variety of emergency situations.
