Apartment Owners Challenge Plan for New WinCo in Eugene
Owners of a Eugene apartment complex are fighting plans for a new WinCo grocery store on Chad Drive.
Living Strong LLC, owner of the McKenzie at Crescent Village, appealed a decision by the city to allow WinCo to build a reconstructed rear loading dock and a bottle redemption center at the site of the former Shopko. A virtual public hearing on the matter will be held Thursday at 5 p.m. for members of the public to express their thoughts.
The city approved permits for WinCo to renovate and move into the building in July, but permits for the loading dock and bottle drop were on hold. Later, those permits were approved as a modification to the original plans.
