Oregon State Police arrest driver for DUII after clocking vehicle traveling over 110 mph on I-84
Oregon – Oregon State Police arrested a driver for driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII) after a concerned motorist reported erratic driving on Interstate 84 in eastern Oregon.
According to OSP, troopers received the report earlier this week and located the vehicle traveling at more than 110 mph while failing to maintain its lane.
Troopers pulled the vehicle over and subsequently arrested the driver for DUII.
Police did not release the driver’s identity, the exact location of the stop or details about the driver’s blood alcohol concentration.
OSP warned that impairment combined with excessive speed creates a serious danger on the road.
Both can reduce a driver’s ability to react to changing conditions and increase the risk of a crash.
The agency encouraged motorists to plan ahead for a safe ride and make responsible decisions before getting behind the wheel.
Anyone who observes concerning driving behavior on Oregon highways is encouraged to contact Oregon State Police by calling *677.
