Mobile home destroyed in fire at Eugene Mobile Village, occupant escapes safely in Springfield area blaze
Eugene, OR – A mobile home was destroyed in a fire at Eugene Mobile Village on June 15, according to Eugene Springfield Fire officials.
Fire crews were dispatched just before 4 p.m. to the 4700 block of Franklin Boulevard after multiple callers reported a kitchen fire inside a residence. When firefighters arrived at the scene in the Glenwood area of Springfield, they found a 5th wheel RV fully engulfed in flames.
Officials said the occupant was able to escape the burning structure safely before crews arrived. The individual was evaluated on scene for potential injuries, though no immediate serious injuries were reported.
Firefighters worked to bring the blaze under control, but the RV was declared a total loss due to the extent of the damage.
Eugene Springfield Fire confirmed that the American Red Cross is assisting two people who were affected by the fire, providing emergency support and temporary assistance following the loss of the home.
The cause of the fire has not yet been released, and officials have not said whether an investigation is ongoing.
Emergency crews emphasized that rapid response helped prevent further injuries or damage to surrounding structures within the mobile home community.
Additional details are expected to be released as they become available.
