Eugene Police Department responds to suspicious conditions call at South Eugene

Eugene, OR – The Eugene Police Department responded to a suspicious conditions report at South Eugene on Friday after a student was reported to possibly have a firearm, according to police.

Police said the call was received at 11:33 a.m. reporting that a student might possibly be in possession of a gun.

Officers responded to the scene and systematically checked all areas of the building as a precaution.

After a full search of the campus, officials determined that no firearm had actually been seen or confirmed.

Police said some officers remained at the location following the investigation to ensure continued monitoring and maintain a visible presence for safety.
