Multiple DUII arrests reported in Eugene over New Year’s holiday, including two crashes
Eugene, OR – Eugene Police Department reported six DUII arrests from Jan. 1 through Jan. 2, including two incidents involving crashes.
On Wagner Street, at 1:05 a.m. on Jan. 2, officers stopped 18-year-old Kaden Isaac Jones after observing a vehicle with a loud exhaust traveling at high speed. Jones, whose license was suspended, was cited for DUII and his vehicle was towed.
On Glenwood Drive, at 2:45 a.m. on Jan. 1, 29-year-old Teron Jordan Beck was taken into custody after crashing a Jeep Cherokee into a tree following a verbal dispute at the Motel 6. Beck faces charges of DUII and Reckless Driving.
On I-105 near North Delta Highway, at 9:37 a.m. on Jan. 1, 25-year-old Alfred Thomas Moore crashed a Toyota Scion into a concrete barrier while driving with four occupants, including two children. Moore was found to be impaired, driving on a suspended license, and without insurance. He was arrested for DUII, Reckless Driving, and three counts of Recklessly Endangering, and lodged at Lane County Jail.
Officers emphasized that all involved were taken into custody or cited, and injured parties received medical evaluation and treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
