Eugene Springfield Fire responds to early morning structure fire in west Eugene
Eugene, OR – Eugene Springfield Fire crews responded just before 3 a.m. on October 16 to a structure fire on the 1100 block of Grant Street in west Eugene.
Crews arrived approximately five minutes after dispatch to find heavy fire on the second floor of a vacant home.
Officials noted that the abandoned home has caught fire multiple times in the past and poses several risks to responders, including debris, human waste, and needles in the area.
Fire Marshals are investigating the cause of the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
