Eugene braces for heat advisory as temperatures near 100 degrees, splash pads open daily to help residents stay cool
Eugene, OR – The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the Eugene area on Saturday, July 13, with forecasted temperatures ranging from 93 to 97 degrees.
In response to the heat, the City of Eugene announced that all public water fountains and splash pads are operational for the summer season. The splash pads are open seven days a week, including holidays, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., offering residents and families a chance to cool off during the hot weather.

Officials encourage residents to stay hydrated, avoid strenuous outdoor activities during peak heat, and take advantage of public cooling resources.
