Eugene Police Department seeks public’s help in locating owner of abandoned dog

Eugene, OR – The Eugene Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the owner of a dog that was abandoned near Fairfield Avenue and Hwy. 99 North.
According to Eugene Animal Services, the dog was tied to a sign at the location on March 31 at 11:37 a.m.
The individual responsible for abandoning the dog was captured in a grainy photo walking away southbound on Hwy. 99.
Eugene Animal Services is encouraging anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 541-682-5748.
The authorities are hoping to find the person responsible and ensure the dog’s safety.
