Missouri – A Missouri woman was arrested last week following allegations of attempting to polson her family member. She faces two counts each of first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action. Clinkenbeard is currently detained at the county jail without bond.

The investigation commenced after deputies received a welfare check request on March 29, 2025. The reporting individual stated that during a phone conversation, the woman admitted to poisoning a famiIy member on two separate occasions.

According to court documents, in December, she allegedly mixed rodent polson into a glass of Iemonade, and the following month, she reportedly added antl-freeze to the victim’s tea. The victim reportedly became very iII following these incidents.

Upon her arrest, the woman was observed singing religious hymns during transport to the jail and continued alternating between singing and crying upon arrival. She allegedly confessed to poisoning the family member amid ongoing disputes.

When questioned about her awareness of the potential lethality of the substances used, she purportedly acknowledged understanding the risks involved.

Her initial court appearance is scheduled for April 8, 2025. If convicted, she faces a prison sentence ranging from 10 to 30 years.

This incident has raised concerns within the Missouri community regarding domestic disputes and the potential for violence. Local authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the woman’s actions to ensure the safety and well-being of all involved.

The Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with additional information related to this case to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
