Teenage boys, aged 13 and 14, arrested after shooting at passing vehicles with realistic-looking airsoft gun
Eugene, OR – Eugene Police responded to a call reporting two teenage boys shooting at passing vehicles from the 4th level of the Overpark parking structure located at 1000 Oak Street. The suspects, aged 13 and 14, were seen wearing black clothing while engaging in the act.
As multiple officers, detectives, and a K9 unit arrived at the scene, the two teens fled on foot. They were located several blocks away, and although both juveniles initially resisted, they were ultimately taken into custody without further incident.
One of the teens was found in possession of a realistic-looking airsoft gun with an extended magazine, along with a spring-loaded knife.
The 13-year-old male was arrested on multiple charges, including Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree, and Escape in the Third Degree.
The 14-year-old male was arrested for Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree, Escape in the Third Degree, and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. Both juveniles were lodged at Serbu.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities continue to review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
